Camino

Use of color, geometry and playfulness are clearly three design traits that graphic and product designer Anabella Georgi and ceramic artist and designer Kiara Matos have in common, along with their Venezuelan origins. They have combined them all in their new design collaboration called Camino*.

They felt there was a need for a piece that could be used for finger food and nondinner gatherings around the table. The concept of the piece is that of a 3D runner that breaks down in 17 functional yet, decorative pieces, that can be used in endless combinations and numbers and are easily arranged together given the modular concept based on simple geometric shapes and their fractions. The use of color together with the simple shapes translates into a fun and versatile design that makes you want to play around with its countless possibilities. Camino is a playful and adaptable system. It can take on different shapes and sizes depending on the space, amount of people and kind of food being shared.

Camino is a piece that reinforces the importance that sharing with loved ones has for us humans, it is a piece inspired by the happiness and pleasure of moments that turn into memories. It is a piece as well as an experience meant to feed both body and soul
